1880’s Victorian ruby and diamond 5 stone ring

Description

This is simply stunning. Hallmarked in the historic London assay office in 1881 this is a superb antique ruby and diamond 5 stone ring.

The diamonds are beautiful antique cushion cuts which weigh an estimated 1cts in total. They are G/H in colour and SI in clarity. Antique cushion cuts are what is termed “free cut”. Each is cut to the eye of the diamond cutter to maximise eye appeal and beauty. No two are the same. We have a bit of thing about antique and vintage stones here and these ones are super. The two rubies are cut to the same shape and have a beautiful colour and glow to them. Probably Burmese in origin.
