1.65cts total weight diamond three stone ring set with yellow gold

Description

Three stone rings are a classic style of ring. Sometimes called a trinty or a trilogy they are great as an alternative to a single stone as an engagement ring or are great as a right hand ring.

This one is set with three diamonds that weight a total of 1.65cts, the centre stone is 0.65cts and the side ones are 0.48cts and 0.52cts. They are est. G/H in colour and VS in clarity. The cut is something really special. Lovely old european cut diamonds. Unlike a modern round brilliiant diamond which aims to reflect as much white light as possible these old cut diamonds aim to deliver fire ! This is the dispersion of light. So you will see proportionatly more colours of light. Flashes of red, yellow, blue, orange and all the other colours of the light spectrum.

The setting is a very intricate old yellow gold mount with the diamonds set in white and white double claws. The double claws not only enhance security but also mean that less of the claw is needed on top of the stone as the two claws on each prong work together to hold the diamond firmly in place. This shows off the top of the diamond to best extent possible.
