Striking aquamarine set in 18kt gold

An aquamarine in all its shining glory. Set in a simple 18kt gold setting, this ring is all about the crystal like lustre you get from an aquamarine. On the hand this ring changes subtly depending on the wearer. As a stone aquamarine has the tendency to pick up hues from peoples skin tone and draw on them to accent the colour of the stone. At an estimated 21.06ct this is a statement piece, which oozes elegance and class. Worn alone you appreciate the vitreous appearance but it too can be worn in conjunction with other pieces. Aquamarines are so calm and peaceful that team beautifully with other stones, diamonds, sapphires and rubies to name our favourite combinations.
Legend believes aquamarine is said to be a sailor’s lucky charm, keeping them safe and protected from harsh and wild seas. This seems very apt as the word ‘aquamarine’ is derived from the Latin word for seawater. By coincidence it is also the birthstone for March whose birth falls in line with a water star sign.
This piece, like all our pieces is available instore in the Antique Gallery Powerscourt Townhouse, Dublin or can be purchased securely through our website.
